When your reputation, freedom and future are at risk, you need quiet strength and focused legal counsel. This is vital when facing university Title IX proceedings or sensitive criminal accusations. I defend individuals in difficult school disciplinary matters, federal and state sex-crime cases, and matters where your career and reputation demand privacy.

As a lawyer with significant trial experience and a background of ranch values (integrity and grit), I accept a limited caseload. This approach gives you direct, focused attention. My practice supports clients throughout 24 Texas counties, providing discreet defense for professionals, executives and students.

About My Practice

Since 2004, I have defended clients in sensitive and difficult criminal matters. My recognitions include listings in Super Lawyers Rising Stars, Texas Bar College, H-Texas and Houstonia.

I also hold memberships in The National College for DUI Defense, Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, Harris County Criminal Lawyers Association and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. My focus is not volume. I limit cases to provide personal, confidential attention at every stage.

I provide private, attorney-led representation. This is not a pass-off model; you will not be pushed down a pipeline. When you call, you reach me. When we prepare, we work together.

My approach is constant, whether the case involves university allegations, professional licensing concerns or high-asset DWI. It includes case-specific defense, courtroom readiness and loyalty based on my ranch values. I also rely on my paralegal, Dalila Villarreal. Her steady case support helps maintain an organized, responsive environment for clients.

Case Results

Below are snapshots of past cases where preparation and persistence made a difference:

  • Attempted Sexual Assault: Dismissed (Harris County) The first accusation claimed the complainant was unconscious, but evidence proved otherwise. A later claim involving a drink was also proven false.
  • DWI 2nd: Not Guilty (Jefferson County) The client was stopped for driving the wrong way. After a three-day trial, the jury found the State did not prove intoxication beyond a reasonable doubt.
  • Injury to a Child: Dismissed serious charges followed a CPS removal and a jury’s termination of parental rights. I reviewed the transcripts and evidence and identified significant issues. The State dismissed the case.
