A 19-year old man was recently arrested in Houston on felony drug charges. Authorities allegedly found drugs in his vehicle following a minor car accident. According to the arrest report, the man was messaging on his phone when he rear-ended the vehicle in front of him.
How it played out
After the Texas Department of Public Safety trooper responded to the car accident, he reported smelling marijuana. The trooper subsequently searched the vehicle and allegedly found marijuana, marijuana gummies and pills in the vehicle. The man was charged with two counts of second-degree felony possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana. The man’s bail was set at $29,000.
